Tourism operators are subject to highly specific and complex regulations within an increasingly uncertain geopolitical environment. Our attorneys have in depth expertise not only in tourism law, but also in distribution law, commercial law and consumer law – all of which are essential to ensuring regulatory compliance in this sector.
Our department is dedicated to meeting the needs of industry professionals (organisers, retailers, tour operators, concierge services, bedbanks, travel planners), whether established in France or abroad, whatever their concerns may be – regulatory, commercial or litigation related – in their dealings with the authorities (in particular Atout France), with business partners (B2B) or with consumers (B2C).
Member of IFTTA, we work in close cooperation with partner attorneys specialising in tourism law throughout the world.
The interventions
Our tourism law attorneys assist clients in particular with:
- Ensuring regulatory compliance in France and abroad for the exercise of travel agency activities (Atout France registration, financial guarantee, insurance coverage)
- Designing contractual strategies and drafting supplier agreements (liability, cancellation, force majeure, etc.)
- Drafting legal notices and B2C general terms and conditions of sale
- Structuring and validating promotional campaigns and marketing operations
- Implementing GDPR compliance programmes tailored to the specific features of the tourism sector
- Handling consumer disputes (delays, cancellations, force majeure events, personal injury, credit vouchers, etc.) and dealing with consumer associations (unfair terms, unfair commercial practices, etc.)
