Valérie holds a Master’s degree in European Law from the University of Bristol (United Kingdom), as well as a postgraduate degree (DEA) in International and European Law, obtained prior to qualifying as a lawyer (CAPA). She discovered her vocation through a moot court competition before the European Court of Human Rights, and developed a strong aptitude for negotiation early in her career during discussions with trade union representatives occupying an industrial production site in the early 2000s.
For the past 25 years, she has built a recognised expertise and litigation practice in both employment law and commercial law.
Early on, Valérie became convinced that business life and economic stakeholders require a “360-degree” vision and a focus on effectiveness. She therefore adopts a cross-disciplinary and tailored approach, making use, where appropriate, of alternative dispute resolution methods (in particular mediation and arbitration).
She has recently developed specific expertise in matters relating to unfair competition and associated litigation, particularly in relation to the protection of trade secrets.
Valérie and her team advise and support companies and their executives in complex disputes and negotiations, often involving cross-border or multi-disciplinary issues. Their approach is strategic and relies on the appropriate procedural tools, including pre-trial investigative measures (in futurum), interim measures and enforcement proceedings.
The team’s areas of intervention notably include contractual disputes, reclassification litigation, shareholder disputes and termination negotiations.
Their support also extends beyond litigation, covering risk prevention, implementation of the duty of vigilance, securing business transfer operations and crisis negotiations.
Commitment, expertise and a results-driven culture form the cornerstone of their practice, in both business law and employment law.
A founding partner of NMCG France in 2018 and head of the Strasbourg office, Valérie has been a driving force behind the firm’s international development, notably through its integration into the Law Exchange International network.
Valérie has been an accredited arbitrator with the Paris Mediation and Arbitration Centre since September 2018, and has taught Anglo-Saxon legal terminology at the Robert Schuman Faculty of Law in Strasbourg.
She also serves as President of the Connect’Alsace Club of the Association for the Progress of Management (APM), bringing together around thirty business leaders committed to the development of their organisations.
